Welcome To

Mark LeRose

Mark LeRose, 43, returned to the Everett Silvertips for his second stint as an Assistant Coach with the club on July 17, 2013.  Often providing specialized attention in the areas of skating and skill development, he is now in his third season on the Silvertips’ coaching staff after originally working in Everett from 2007 to 2009.  LeRose has more than a decade of experience behind the bench in various capacities, serving at a variety of levels including the AHL, WHL, NCAA, USHL, NAHL and in both professional & junior leagues in Europe.

LeRose was first hired by the Silvertips to work alongside Head Coach John Becanic in 2007.  He helped produce three NHL draft picks and a .500 record over two seasons with the club before taking an opportunity to work under then-former ‘Tips coach Kevin Constantine with the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League in 2009-10.  He became Head Coach of the NAHL’s Wichita Falls Wildcats in 2010-11, took over EC Salzburg’s junior program in Austria in 2011-12 and spent last season in Sweden with Mora IK.  He coached in Sweden’s #2 pro league there before being tapped late in the season to help Mora’s junior team avoid relegation, which they successfully did.

His familiarity with Constantine goes back to the mid-1980’s, when LeRose tried out for a roster spot at the Constantine-coached Northwood Prep School in Lake Placid, New York.  Constantine hired LeRose as a Coaching Staff Assistant for the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins in 1999-2000, and the two have since crossed paths numerous times over the past 20 years.

A Calgary, Alberta native who makes his home in Aspen, Colorado, LeRose has also worked as an Assistant Coach with the University of Wisconsin (NCAA) and the Sioux Falls Stampede (USHL).  He formerly ran USA Hockey programs throughout the state of Colorado and was a Head Coach at Aspen High School.
