KAMLOOPS BLAZES BY EVERETT

Everett, WA - Tonight the Everett Silvertips played their first game at home in over two weeks, but skated to a disappointing loss to the Kamloops Blazers. The Blazers shut out the Silvertips 2-0. This is the third meeting of the season, with one more to go in January. Kamloops now leads the series 2-1. Everett remains steadily in first place in the US Division with 29 points and a 14-8-1 record.
Kamloops' first marker was scored by Terrance Delaronde at 4:39 of the second period. His shot hit the Everett crossbar and bounced in behind Leland Irving. Janick Steinmann earned the only assist. The second and last goal came from Brock Nixon late in the third with an unassisted, empty-netter.
Despite losing the game, Leland Irving was sharp in between the pipes. Irving made 32 saves on 33 stops and his records sits at 13-8. Devan Dubnyk, also having a stellar game, earned his first shut out of the season by stopping all 21 Silvertip shots. On the power play both teams were scoreless with Everett having six chances and Kamloops having three. Final shots on goal were the Silvertips 21 and the Blazers 34.
The Everett Silvertips travel to Spokane to play the Spokane Chiefs tomorrow night, November 19th. The puck drops at 7pm.
