Everett, WA - Having been named the Saskatchewan Midget Hockey Association's Player of the Week for action ending January 18th, Ryan Murray continues to enjoy a standout season with the Moose Jaw Junior Warriors. He notched his first midget hat trick - part of a five point night - on January 15th against the Swift Current Legionnaires, part of a five-game stretch in which the 5'11 ½, 170 pound blueliner scored six goals and added seven assists for thirteen points. Leading the Warriors in defensive scoring with 8 goals and 26 points, Murray also took part in the prestigious Mac's Midget Hockey Tournament over the holidays, featuring a wide array of talent from throughout Canada.
His recent efforts have drawn the attention of the Silvertips' hockey administration, where Scott Scoville, Everett's Director of Player Development has taken notice.
"Ryan just continues to evolve his game, and the points are reflective of how dominant hes been. He's progressing along very nicely."
