Photo by John Allen AMERICANS HOST SILVERTIPS – Justin Feser and the Tri-City Americans (0-2-0-0) host Ryan Murray and the Everett Silvertips (0-1-0-1) in the lone Western Hockey League contest on Thursday.
The Americans suffered losses to the Spokane Chiefs on Friday and the Portland Winterhawks on Saturday, with both games being played at the Toyota Centre in Kennewick. The last time the Ams started the season 0-2 was 2005-06. Feser picked up two assists through his first two games.
The Silvertips suffered back-to-back losses to the visiting Prince George Cougars on the weekend, falling 6-0 on Friday then dropping a 7-6 decision in a shootout on Saturday. Four of the ‘Tips’ six goals on Saturday came on the power play. Murray and fellow defenceman Landon Oslanski combined for three goals and seven points on Saturday.
It’s the first meeting of the season between the U.S. Division rivals. Last season, Tri-Cities won six of eight encounters versus Everett.
