Photo by Randy Feere TIGERS MAUL HURRICANES – Curtis Valk scored three goals and added two assists to lead the Medicine Hat Tigers to an 8-4 win over the visiting Lethbridge Hurricanes in WHL pre-season action on Sunday.
Miles Koules tallied twice and added an assist and Hunter Shinkaruk notched a goal and three assists for the Tigers (1-2-0-0), who also got goals from Jayden Hart and Boston Leier and a four-assist effort from Kyle Becker. Kenny Cameron and Marek Langhamer combined for 21 saves in the win.
Remi Laurencelle scored a hat trick while Jay Merkley also scored for the Hurricanes (1-2-0-0), who were outshot 38-25 by the hosts. Christopher Tai and Tanner Kovacs combined for 30 stops in the loss.

The Swift Current Broncos edged the Moose Jaw Warriors 3-2 on Sunday night at Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw, SK.
Richard Nedomlel, Colby Cave and Dalton Reum scored for the Broncos (3-2-0-0), who converted two of three power play chances. Steven Myland made 28 saves to earn the win.
Kendall McFaull and Andrew Johnson scored for the Warriors (1-1-1-0), who were scoreless on four man advantage chances. Daniel Wapple made 23 saves in a losing cause.
