With Pink the Rink just 24 hours away, the Silvertips are highlighting many of the ways that fans will be able to save lives by donating money to the Providence General Foundation while taking home signed paraphernalia and enjoying a terrific game-night atmosphere.
• 100% of proceeds from chuck-a-puck and program sales will go to the Providence General Foundation. If you’ve been coming to Silvertips games for years and have only tossed a handful of chuck-a-pucks on the ice during the second intermission, this would be a great time to show off your arm strength and accuracy. As always, the puck closest to the center ice faceoff dot will receive $100; any fan who is able to toss their puck completely within the center faceoff dot will win $100 and a $500 gift certificate to Les Schwab Tires.
• During the first intermission, the scoreboard will be recognizing those who are battling cancer, including those who have lost their battle. Much like Silvertips birthday greetings, $10 will provide a message of encouragement or recognition of one’s battle, with all proceeds going to the Providence General Foundation.
• Ticket packages, which include an upper level ticket, an “I Pinked the Rink” Silvertips t-shirt, and a $6 donation to the Providence General Foundation, are available for $20 by following the links on www.everettsilvertips.com.
• Pink “I Pinked the Rink” Silvertips t-shirts will be on sale behind Section 103 for those who did not purchase the ticket package.
• We still have a limited supply of sticks remaining after our season ticket holders had the first opportunity to purchase commemorative Pink the Rink hockey sticks, autographed by members of the Silvertips. For a $100 donation to the Providence General Foundation, fans can purchase a hockey stick signed by the Silvertip of their choice; sticks signed by the entire team will be available for a $150 donation. All sticks are 100% tax deductible.
• The online portion of our sealed bid process has begun for the commemorative pink-trimmed Silvertips jerseys. Bids on each jersey start at $150.00; fans wishing to submit a jersey bid should do so via e-mail to auctions@everettsilvertips.com. In the subject line please place the name of the player that you are bidding on and in the body of the e-mail please include your bid amount as well as a day time phone number that we can use to contact you should you be the highest bidder. If you are submitting an online bid and will be in attendance please indicate that in your e-mail. Email bids will be accepted until 3:00 PM on October 29th; bidding will resume in-person once the doors open on Friday night at 6:30 pm, and will continue through the end of the second period, with winning bids being posted in the third period. Following the game, fans in attendance who were the highest bidder on a jersey will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with the player or coach. The Silvertips will be auctioning off jerseys of all players on the active roster as well as Head Coach Craig Hartsburg, Associate Head Coach Jay Varady, Assistant Coach Chris Hartsburg and one jersey signed by the entire 2010-2011 Silvertips team. These jersey purchases are 100% tax deductible.
• If any of our Season Ticket Holders will not be using all of their tickets for Pink the Rink on October 29th, we will gladly take any extras to donate to cancer patients and families of those affected by cancer.
